Kansas City Regional Manager

​Central Care Cancer Center is hiring for an individual to join our oncology team in the Kansas City Area. This position will provide oversight and management to three Kansas City clinics.

Essential Functions

  • Manages employee schedules including time off requests and time card approvals
  • Collaborates with CCO, DON, and Director of Oncology to manage provider schedules
  • Communicates with other Central Care Clinic Managers for staffing needs and coverage situations
  • Collaborates with other Central Care departments including, Billing, Human Resources, Marketing & Public Relations, I.T., and Maintenance to ensure all clinic needs are met
  • Partners with Human Resources to appropriately handle employee matters and/or performance issues
  • Oversees drug inventory
  • Oversees and manages drug and medical supplies, including monitoring for best cost
  • Communicates with CFO and CCO regarding costs incurred by the clinic as well as budgets for events or other clinic needs
  • Oversees community events organized by Kansas City clinic staff and Marketing Department
  • Facilitates training and continuing education requirements of clinic staff
  • Handles daily patient work flow, makes recommendation for improvement
  • Teams up with CCO, DON, Director of Oncology, and other clinic managers to implement any new nursing processes, including policy and procedures
  • Acts as main clinic contact for new FDA drug releases or educational needs from pharmaceutical companies and specialty testing centers
  • Collaborates with outside providers including hospitals, clinics, and labs to facilitate best patient care
  • Participates in community engagement and development of cancer survivor programs
  • Active involvement in physician relations including regular visits to outside physicians as well as building relationships with referring physicians, hospitals and clinics
  • Acts as liaison and direct point of contact for Kansas City Cancer Centers
  • Participates in interviewing and hiring of employees
  • Oversees and maintains safe practices for patient and staff
  • Performs weekly and monthly audits as requested

Desired Degree

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field or combination of education and experience required
  • Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
  • 3+ years’ management experience in the Medical Field preferred

  • Communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to communicate effectively with multiple people on a daily basis including but not limited to physicians, hospital personnel, clinic staff, administration, patients etc
  • Strong reasoning ability
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Analytical skills necessary in order to recommend and develop departmental policies, procedures and budgets

At Union Station, Amtrak service provides six passenger trains daily, which includes two round trips to St. Louis, one departing for Chicago and one departing for Los Angeles.
