Develop procedures and protocols and ensure procedures and protocols are followed by Radiation Therapist and Dosimetrist for safe operation and proper performance of the Linear Accelerator; Daily review of the quality assurance of the Linear Accelerator prior to use each day to ensure proper functioning of the equipment; Advanced experience in daily operations of the Linear Accelerator for the purpose of performing ongoing, regular quality assurance, and troubleshooting; Perform monthly quality assurance procedures on the operation of the Linear Accelerator to ensure proper functioning and having that information available for review by the state inspectors; Perform in-depth quality assurance procedures on the Linear Accelerators on an Annual basis that is sent to the State Board of Health and Environment for their review; Be the expert on proper use of the Linear Accelerator for the staff and maintenance personnel and provide on-going training and supervision; Responsible for the handling of radioactive materials, the receiving, storage, daily operation, and for the proper disposal and returning of the radioactive sources; Responsible for training of all staff for the proper emergency response in the event of a radiologic emergency. Required travel one day per week to outreach clinic in Newton, KS.  Position requires Master’s or equivalent in Medical Physics or closely related field, and completion of 24 months Medical Physics Residency Training Program.  F/T position with Central Care, P.A.
