Medical Assistant

Central Care Cancer Center is hiring a Medical Assistant to join the medical oncology team in their Bolivar, MO clinic location. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to make a difference in patients' lives while gaining hands-on experience in a specialized clinic.

Essential Functions

• Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately chart patient information.

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure supplies are readily available.

• Assist with scheduling appointments, handling insurance requests, and managing medical records.

• Set up and coordinate virtual appointments for patients.

• Send physician notes and follow up on requests as needed.

• Provide administrative support to front desk staff.

• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinic staff to ensure seamless care.

Job Experience

• Minimum of 1-year medical experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent judgment, decision making, and problem solving skills.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality, safety, and comfort.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician  or Medical Assistant (CMA) a plus.
