Penelope Harris, MD, COL USAR completed her medical oncology and hematology fellowship at San Antonio Military Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. She completed her internal medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. Dr. Harris spent 14 years as an active duty Army doctor in the US and Europe prior to moving back to Kansas City, KS and completing 6 years in the US Army Reserves. She worked in academia with a focus in classical hematology until the time she returned to her roots of medical oncology and hematology patient care and joining the Central Care team.
Dr. Harris is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology and medical oncology. She specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all cancer types, leukemias and lymphomas. She is a member of the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons and the Catholic Medical Association. Dr. Harris enjoys sharing fellowship with family and friends and reading in her spare time.
